Best Practices of WSE Listed Companies

Introducing the Website
This website, www.corp-gov.gpw.pl , is the official website of the Warsaw Stock Exchange devoted to the corporate governance of listed companies. The website provides information on the implementation of “The Best Practices of WSE Listed Companies” and current corporate governance initiatives of the WSE and its EduPartners. The website is also a platform of communication between the WSE and companies. Questions sent by companies and interested parties are answered by a team of experts and posted under “Best Practices FAQ”. All WSE listed companies and other interested parties are encouraged to send questions and suggestions about the content of this website.
 
Mission
The mission of this website is to promote corporate governance and to develop communication with listed companies concerning “The Best Practices of WSE Listed Companies”. The WSE pursues these objectives in co-operation with the companies and selected educational partners – certified WSE EduPartners. The mission of the website is to create an active forum of discussion, exchange of views, co-operation between the WSE and interested parties, and development of corporate governance knowledge by publishing answers to the companies’ frequently asked questions concerning the implementation of best practices. The website gives access to documentation of the best practices, files with key articles on corporate governance, and links to the websites of institutions and parties involved in corporate governance.
 
Goals
The goals of the website www.corp-gov.gpw.pl are as follows:
  • Active dialogue for effective application of the best practices;
  • Promotion of the best practices through information about corporate governance meetings, conferences and educational initiatives;
  • Presentation of certified EduPartners’ activities including educational programmes, initiatives, co-operation with the WSE to promote corporate governance and the rules of “The Best Practices of WSE Listed Companies”;
  • Dissemination of knowledge on corporate governance.
Editorial Board
The website www.corp-gov.gpw .pl  is created with the contribution of renown corporate governance experts who define its further development, actively participate in its mission and share their corporate governance observations on the website. The Editorial Board includes:

Pursuing the objective of promoting corporate governance, including the rules of “The Best Practices of WSE Listed Companies” effective as of 1 January 2008, the Warsaw Stock Exchange decided to establish a group of educational partners from across Poland to actively participate in co-operation for the development of corporate governance in Poland. For this purpose, the WSE decided to open a competition and to select certified WSE EduPartners in order to co-organise meetings, training sessions, workshops and other educational projects.
